Two Major Regattas To Be Held At The Boat Show
Wed 14th Apr 10 - 12:48

Not one but two historic sailing regattas are to be held during the Liverpool Boat Show - along with a host of other on-water activities. Royal Dee Yacht Club is to stage its two-day Spring Regatta, normally held in Holyhead, at Liverpool to coincide with the first weekend of the show, while Liverpool Yacht Club will hold an open two-day regatta for all classes of boat that sail on the Mersey on the second weekend.

The Liverpool Yacht Club regatta will include IRC rated yachts, half raters, Sqibbs, Etchells, and other local boats. Dee Sailing Club will bring their high speed Dart 18 catamarans.

In the docks West Kirby Sailing Club will provide Firefly Dinghies together with International 2.4s for display and racing. Other clubs will bring examples of their own fleets so there will be a mix of small craft. West Cheshire Sailing Club hope to run a National Safety Boat competition.
